As a constrained space and the location of a Western Power transformer, the site of this proposed development was near-incapable of development. The project therefore aimed to utilise this limited space for its highest and best use, in a way which activates the streetscape and creates vibrancy.
The proposal was for a tourism hub, comprised of a viewing platform, café, meeting point for tours of the City, and digital signage incorporated into the sculptural built form.
Pinnacle Planning managed the Application process, liaising with the architect and traffic consultant.
Our Office coordinated deputations at both the Design Advisory Committee and Planning Committee, and finally at the Council meeting, securing planning approval.
