This project involved securing planning approval for an increase of patron numbers from 15 to 35, for Dejaxo Artisan Café and Bakery, a popular local eatery in Mount Hawthorn.
Due to site constraints, variations with regard to parking provisions were sought. Concerns regarding acoustics were also raised due to the business’ location in a residential area.
Prior to our Office’s appointment, the application has been refused by the Council and unsuccessfully appealed in the SAT. Our Office was then appointed to provide a new, thorough evaluation of the proposal, and prepared a comprehensive Application. This included information which had not previously been provided, such as a detailed Parking Report prepared by our Office and Acoustic Report prepared by a consultant, which alleviated parking and acoustic concerns.
Following lodgement, Pinnacle Planning coordinated multi-modal public advertising for the Application, and liaised closely with the Local Authority, providing additional information at multiple junctions at their request.
Finally, following deputation at the Council meeting, the proposal was granted planning approval.
